SUHSD will partner with Subject.com for Credit Recovery, Independent Studies, and Summer School. The official launch of this partnership begins with the 2026-27 school year, but we are already implementing a phase-in of Subject with new current enrollments.
The decision to switch from Edgenuity to Subject was made after undergoing a comprehensive platform review, including a live pilot with students. Based on the positive feedback from our pilot teachers and counselors, we are excited to announce our formal transition from Edgenuity to Subject.com for all Credit Recovery courses.

SUHSD is in the process of phasing in Subject for credit recovery and ISP courses. Students who need to recover credit or are enrolled in our Independent Studies Program will begin taking any new courses on the Subject platform to provide the most flexibility in completing their coursework. Students currently enrolled in Edgenuity courses will continue working to complete their existing coursework, and have until the end of the 2026 summer term to do so.
Please reference the Subject Resource Hub for information about how to use Subject.
